Microsoft has recently rolled out a major update for its own Health app that brings a handful of new features on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile devices.

First and foremost, the app now has a live tile, which is clearly a very important addition, especially since live tiles continue to be one of the most appreciated features in Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. Starting with this version, if you pin the Health app to Start, you should be able to see current step count, calories burned, and Microsoft Band battery percentage right in the live tile.
At the same time, the new update also brings auto-pause support, which is undoubtedly helpful for those who track their exercises with a Microsoft Band.
“When you are taking a break during your run or bike ride, your Band automatically pauses your session. When you start again, your session automatically resumes,” Microsoft explains how the new feature works.
Additionally, you can now get distance notifications during Guided Workouts, such as running, walking, or biking, while golf fans can now “play like a pro” by turning on tournament mode and hiding step count and distance during a round.
The new update is obviously available through the store and everyone should be getting it as we speak. Version 2016.308.105.0 is the one you should download.
