A few days before CES 2015, Alcatel One Touch has officially announced a new series of smartphones called the Pixi 3 series.

We’re going to be seeing these handsets be put on display in Las Vegas in a few days and here’s the reason why you shouldn't shrug off the Pixi 3 as another bunch of low-cost devices.

Alcatel Pixi 3 offers unhoped for versatility

Apparently, each customer will get to choose what OS goes on board of their Pixi 3 smartphone and there’s a choice of Android, Firefox and Windows Phone.

The Pixi 3 family is made up of 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch models. The smallest variation will take advantage of 3G connectivity, while the other three versions will boast 4G.

The specifications of the upcoming handsets still remain under a curtain of mystery, but we don’t expect anything high-end here, just good-old average specs.

On top of the Pixi 3 bunch, Alcatel has also unveiled a smartwatch featuring a curved display, a lot like in the vein of the Moto 360.

The company plans to market it with an affordable price tag, but not a lot of details have been revealed ahead of CES 2015.

This way Alcatel probably wants to ensure we’ll be keeping an eye on their booth at CES in Las Vegas, come next week.
