Alcatel has been making headlines in the last couple of months with some interesting devices. Even though many of them have already been officially unveiled, there are a couple that haven't been announced by the Chinese company that has recently rebranded itself.

After reporting on Alcatel’s upcoming Windows 10 Mobile flagship smartphone, the Idol 4 Pro, the first details about another unannounced handset have emerged online.
According to a report from VentureBeat, an Alcatel Idol 4 Mini is now in the works and should make it to market very soon. The device will be available in rose gold, gold, dark gray and metal silver, but there’s no mention of price yet.
Some of you might recall Alcatel has already launched the Alcatel Idol 4. The mini version comes with slightly lower specs, so it would make sense to be cheaper as well.
Rumor has it that Alcatel Idol 4 Mini will sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that should support HD (720p) resolution. This is slightly smaller than the 5.2-inch FHD (1080p) display included in the standard model.
Marshmallow, fingerprint scanner and multiple variants On the inside, the Idol 4 Mini is said to come with either a quad-core MT6738 or octa-core MT6750 processor provided by MediaTek. Also, it will be available in multiple versions and combinations based on the amount of memory.
For example, the smartphone could pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, or 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, or 3GB RAM and 32GB of free space.
On the back, the Idol 4 Mini will pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording whereas, on the front, there should be a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, and it will be powered by a 2,400 mAh battery. It will also pack a fingerprint scanner under the Home button.
