Apple generally maintains a high level of secrecy when it comes to the release of their latest devices onto the market. However, many analysts and bloggers appear to be in agreement about their predictions for 2014. A number of them believe that it’s likely we’ll be seeing the launch of a larger iPhone 6, a 12.9-inch iPad Pro and a few other surprises including the iWatch.

Rumour has it that Apple’s next iPhone, the iPhone 6, will be a combination of tablet and phone making it the very first “phablet” from Apple. The smartphone is predicted to be so thin that it will be called the iPhone 6 Air. Predicted screen-widths range from AppAdvice’s suggestion of a 4.5-inch antiglare display, to the most popular rumour of 5-inch screen.

While AppAdvice sets the iPhone 6 Air at 6 millimetres wide, Cleveland-based iPhone accessory maker, Fuse Chicken, believes that the device will be just 4.5 millimetres wide. The larger and thinner smartphone will feature a 20 MP camera embedded with dual LED flash and stabiliser, a screen that can be stretched to the entire length and width of the phone and a much anticipated SD card slot. The iPhone 6 Air is also anticipated to be launched sometime between summer and autumn of 2014.

According to DigiTimes, Apple’s iPad Pro is rumoured to see an October 2014 release. The 12.9-inch larger tablet, made by Quanta computer, is backed by many to serve as a sustainable substitute for the 11-inch MacBook Air. While several speculators are referring to Apple’s 2014 tablet as the iPad Pro, Forbes has dubbed it the iPad Max. This new tablet will have an ultra high-definition quality screen with a resolution of 2,732 by 2,048 pixels, according to the Wall Street Journal.

In addition to the larger iPhone 6 and wide-screen iPad Pro, Apple Inc. is also rumoured to release its long-awaited iWatch, Apple TV, radically redesigned Thunderbolt Display and other updates like iOS 8, OS X 10.10, and more. Recent predictions also suggest that a 12-inch MacBook with a Retina display and a MacBook Air-style design could make its debut in Apple’s stores sometime during mid-2014.

The company, over the course of 2013, released a number of exciting premium products including the revamped Mac Pro, a lighter and thinner iPad Air, and an iPhone with an innovative fingerprint recognition technology. This has helped boost levels of anticipation and excitement within the Apple user community as to what they can expect during 2014.
